The trip was filled with beautiful people, sights, sounds and tastes. From the real gyro (pronounced: yeer-o) on the streets of Oia pre-sunset to the Greek salad with gorgeous feta, fresh produce and tzatziki with pita in tavernes by the water while you wait for your fresh seafood to be pulled from the Aegean. Greece was a food Pandora's box for me. Our next course included sheep's milk dumplings in a tomato ragù with feta cheese, fresh pasta with rabbit confit and balsamic pearl onions, cheese ravioli with a sage butter sauce, pork in a citrus sauce with olives and caper berries and two grilled fish dishes, one Branzino and the other striped bass, both served over veggies and fingerling potatoes.
