  • The Shelby County Sheriff's Office is seeking to have the state pay for at least some of the $167,000 it spent on security in the recent Jessie Dotson mass murder trial. The Sheriff's Office has filed a motion asking a judge to order the Tennessee Administrative Office of the Courts to pay about $34,000 of that total for the expense of picking a jury in Nashville and ferrying Dotson there last year for a mental evaluation.

Circuit Court Judge J.
