WASHINGTON -- Tension between House Speaker John Boehner and Rep. Jim Jordan over the nation's debt ceiling erupted Wednesday in a raucous meeting of House Republicans, with some GOP lawmakers demanding the firing of a key aide connected to Jordan. The meeting highlighted the deep policy divisions that have smoldered beneath the surface for the past six months between Boehner and Jordan, two key Ohio Republicans from adjacent districts who find themselves on opposite sides over how best to raise the federal government's debt ceiling.
