We, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (Service), along with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA, Department of Commerce) and other Federal, State, and tribal partners, announce that we are seeking public comments and input regarding the draft (Strategy). The purpose of the Strategy will be to inspire and enable natural resource professionals and other decision makers to take action to conserve the nation's fish, wildlife, plants, and ecosystem functions, as well as the human uses and values these natural systems provide, in a changing climate. Eason discusses why writing an adaptation is at least as difficult as writing an original script. The truth is adaptation is a constant conversation between the voice of the playwright and the voice of the author of the work being adapted as the playwright decides what "materials" to keep, how to use them and what of his or her own voice to add to the construction. The ways in which an adaptor chooses to mirror or not to mirror the voice of the source material is a major choice of the adaptation process and one that should be viewed as a choice.
