HARRISON TWP., Montgomery County -- U.S. Marine Cpl. Adam Jones didn't live to witness the demise of Osama bin Laden, the face of the enemy he fought for the past five years.
If he had lived, Jones, 29, of Germantown, would likely have marked the death of the al-Qaida leader along with millions of Americans, according to dozens of friends and family members gathered at his funeral Saturday at Northridge Freewill Baptist Church.

The Bengals placed Jones on injured reserve Tuesday with a herniated disk in his neck. Jones was injured late in a 39-32 loss to Atlanta on Sunday. Jones will see other specialists before deciding whether to have surgery, agent Tom Hunter said.
