Academy School District 20 is considering a 50-cent per-ride fee for transportation next school year, and plans a public hearing in October, the district announced Wednesday.
The proposal suggests charging choice students slightly more - 60 cents per ride. There would be a $10 one-time fee to cover special cards students would use. Students eligible for free and reduced meals would not have to pay the fee, said District 20 spokeswoman Nanette Anderson.
