LOUISVILLE, Ky. - If a basketball team's offense can go colder than absolute zero, the University of Southern Indiana came close on Saturday. The second-seeded Screaming Eagles (24-7) sank only three baskets while committing nine turnovers in the final 10:39 of their first-round NCAA Division II Midwest Regional game against Kentucky Wesleyan. Meanwhile, the seventh-seeded Panthers (22-7) suddenly started making baskets, overcoming what had been a double- digit USI lead to post a 64-58 victory. It was the second straight year that USI has lost in the first round of the Midwest Regional, hosted by top-seeded Bellarmine University at Knights Hall.

One way of dealing with this anti-Latino hate is for the federal government under an Obama administration to set a zero tolerance policy against harm to Latinos and the undocumented. This means a zero tolerance policy by local politicians to enact ordinances that target specific groups based on their immigration status. The 800-megahertz nuclear magnetic resonance spectrometer, the only one in Missouri, is a very cool machine - 20 degrees above absolute zero, to be exact. That's the temperature necessary to keep its superconducting magnet free of radio wave distortion and able to create a magnetic field powerful enough to excite atoms.
