DEARBORN - I have been researching and documenting the looting of modem Iraqi art since the U.S. invasion in 2003. My research focuses on the looting of the entire collection of modem Iraqi art - over 7000 works- that was stored at Markaz [Saddam Hussein] lil Funun (Saddam Center for the Arts) in Baghdad. This includes works of Iraqi artists as early as the late 19th century to the early years of 2003. The collection contains over seven thousand works of art in painting, sculpture, drawing, prints, photography, poster, ceramic, and mixed media. The vast body of the collection is by Iraqi artists but it also includes works by otherprominent Arab and international artists.

The facts behind the marginalized status of Algerians in France are emphasized. The Arab terrorist stigma which the French attach to Algerians manifests itself in ethnic intolerance and racism. The French peoples also refuse to accept responsibility for the vast number of Algerians who have immigrated to their country. On the other hand, Algerians are resentful of the deculturization brought about by French dominance. Algerians are advised to break down cultural barriers and advance their inclusionary rights to be integrated into French society.
