PARIS (HedgeWorld.com) - Socit Gnrale Asset Management Alternative Investments today [April 23] announced the second and final closing of SGAM Private Value Fund, in essence a fund of private equity funds. SGAM Private Value raised a total of 267 million euro ($362 million), slightly exceeding the 250 million euro objective. To manage the fund SGAM AI has partnered with Pantheon Ventures, a private equity fund of funds manager with a track record of more than 20 years. Pantheon, which manages around $13 billion, is a wholly owned subsidiary of Russell Investment Group. SGAM AI said the relationship with Pantheon will facilitate the task of accessing some of the world's best-performing private equity funds.
