COME July 16, the estimated 500,000 motorists who travel Sepulveda Pass between the Valley and the Westside during weekends may find the popular freeway and surrounding surface streets more congested than usual.
The northbound 405 between the 10 and 101 freeways, and southbound lanes from the 101 to Getty Center Drive will be closed starting on midnight, Friday, July 15 as a section of the Mulholland bridge is removed. The bridge dismantlement is part of the ongoing 405 widening project.

The closures - from midnight to 5 a.m. - will affect both the northbound 405 Freeway between the westbound Garden Grove (22) Freeway and the 405 interchange and Seal Beach Boulevard today and Wednesday.

Beginning Saturday, between Seal Beach Boulevard and the San Gabriel (605) interchange, the northbound lanes will be closed between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m., Monday through Friday, and between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m., Saturday and Sunday.
