SPRINGFIELD -- An Ohio National Guard unit previously based in Kettering celebrated the official opening of its new $17.3 million home in Springfield with a ribbon cutting ceremony Friday. The 371st Sustainment Brigade moved its headquarters from the County Line Road facility in Kettering to the more modernized Springfield Armed Forces Reserve Center over the summer.

- Kettering-Based Unit Says Goodbye
BEAVERCREEK -- Several local and state dignitaries joined the community on Sunday, April 27, in bidding farewell to 138 members of the Ohio Army National Guard's 371st Sustainment Brigade during a Call to Duty Ceremony at The Vineyard Church. The Kettering-based unit will depart early Wednesday for Fort McCoy, Wis., where they will spend 60 to 90 days receiving specialized training to prepare for their mission offering oversight and management of units providing logistical support.

KETTERING -- The troops came in formation, 64 strong, wearing their combat uniforms and boots, but for once the work was done before they arrived. All the men and women of the Army National Guard 371st Sustainment Brigade had to do was carry away the 64 bicycles assembled by children and parents at the annual Christmas celebration for Reynolds and Reynolds associates at the company's headquarters off County Line Road.
