Lying in a hospital bed with a pin in his leg has given Terrance Foster a lot of time to lament his bad luck. Instead, he has been counting his blessings. Sure, he and his fiancee were pinned, broken legs and all, inside his sport utility vehicle for hours as it teetered on the side of a steep embankment. Two people went to a local hospital complaining of neck, back, shoulder and hip pain following an accident Friday night at the intersection of Highway 500 and St. Johns Road. According to the Washington State Patrol, the accident occurred at 11:38 p.m. when a 1991 Plymouth Sundance driven by David R. Jordan, 24, of Vancouver ran a red light and collided with a 1998 Ford Explorer driven by Jamie L. Seward, 29, of Vancouver.

Kanawha County authorities have identified a man who was killed on Interstate 79 early Saturday. John B. Parker, 48, of Weston, was heading north on Interstate 79 just after midnight Saturday when his 1998 Ford Explorer apparently strayed into the median, according to Sheriff's Lt. Sean Crosier.

DOWNEY - Rescue workers knew their time was short when they found 20-year-old Alessandro Hernandez on the Santa Ana (5) Freeway with an SUV lying on top of him. Hernandez, a Corona resident, was riding in a 1998 Ford Explorer heading southbound on the 5 freeway at about 10:55 p.m. Saturday when it hit three other vehicles near the San Gabriel (605) Freeway, said Officer Joe Zizi of the California Highway Patrol.

The Hallsville post office is open for regular hours today after a sport utility vehicle crashed into the building yesterday. No one was injured when a 1998 Ford Explorer driven by 64-year- old Hallsville resident Connie Hickam crashed through the west side of the post office building around 12:45 p.m. Hallsville Police Chief Tony Fields said Hickam told police she was applying the brake when her foot slipped and hit the accelerator, "causing her to crash into the building," he said.

The families and estates of six people who drowned last year after driving down Henderson's Second Street boat ramp into the Ohio River have sued Rookie's Sports Bar, the city and the designers of its downtown riverfront, alleging their negligence contributed to the deaths. Killed when Korena L. Alvira, 32, of Evansville drove her 1998 Ford Explorer off the boat ramp about 3:30 a.m. April 2, 2006, were: Alvira, Diamond Ramey, 32, also of Evansville, Quillian L. Hughes, 21, Steven J. Parker, 21, Michael Sanners, 25, and Travis J. Sanners, 23, all of Henderson.

Riverside California Highway Patrol officers have released details regarding the Thanksgiving night traffic collision that killed one person in Rubidoux. About 10:10 p.m. Thursday, Esteban R. Soto, 31, of Rubidoux was standing near a 1998 Ford Explorer that was parked on the right shoulder of Skyview Drive, west of Peralta Place, according to a CHP news release.
