Grace Beatrice Anderson, of Buffalo, honored earlier this year for her thousands of hours of work as a hospital volunteer, died Friday in Millard Fillmore Hospital after a brief illness. She was 87. In March, Kaleida Health dedicated the surgical waiting room in the Gates Circle hospital in her name. Mrs. Anderson gave more than 21 years of volunteer service as a volunteer in the surgical waiting room, totaling more than 28,594 hours, serving as liaison between the medical teams and families of patients. In 2002, she received an Excellence in Philanthropy Award from Kaleida Health Foundation.
