- Like Disney's 1982 original, this cyberspace fairy tale is a good-looking plate without much on it, combining dazzling CGI effects (now with 3-D and IMAX!) with a thin, slightly confusing story.
'Tron: Legacy' (Walt Disney Pictures) Visually speaking, films don't come much better than "Tron: Legacy." Driven by vivid special effects and crisp sound editing, this sequel to the 1982 science-fiction classic is a real treat for the eyes and ears. It's a real display of what filmmakers can accomplish with computers. Looking past the beautiful exterior of "Tron: Legacy" is a problem, though. Looking at the most important element of the picture, the story, a lack of personality and pacing problems stick out.
