SHEPHERDSTOWN - A preservation group has filed an appeal with the U.S. Supreme Court over a state ruling allowing a housing development on the site of the 1862 Civil War Battle of Shepherdstown. In the filing, attorney Linda Gutsell asks for a reversal of an April ruling by the state Supreme Court.
CHARLES TOWN - Preservationists say they will keep fighting to stop a housing development planned for a Civil War battlefield, despite losing in the state Supreme Court. The coming days are busy ones in and around Shiloh National Military Park.
